Details on our Garden tours
At New England's premiere showcase of native plants, we welcome gardeners, naturalists, conservationists, professionals, eco-tourists, families, and the general public. Visitors can view over 1,000 species of flowers, shrubs, trees and ferns native to North America. Highlights of the tour include Garden history, naturalistic landscape design, identification and uses of native plants, habitat displays, sustainable horticulture practices, and native plant conservation.

Group, Children, or Custom Tours and for special hotel rates
ADULT GROUP TOUR FEES
Fees are per person and include admission plus tour guide (fees effective 11/2010).
- $12 Adult Tours (minimum group fee - $120.00)
- $10 Senior Citizen Tours - 65+ (minimum group fee - $100.00)
- $11 Mixed Groups of seniors and adults (minimum group fee - $110)
- $8 College Students (minimum group fee - $80)
- $5 New England Wild Flower Society Members
CART TOURS
For those needing mobility assistance and their guests (Garden paths are not paved and include several sloping areas). Golf cart accommodates 5 people. Knowledgeable tour guide/driver provided to navigate the cart through the Garden on the main Curtis Path, offering a leisurely, up-close and fascinating experience. CHILDREN’S GROUP TOURS
Preschool, elementary and middle school groups explore the natural woodland, brook areas, and Lost Pond. Each group experiences hands-on activities appropriate to the students' age level. Tour content supports the MA Science Curriculum Frameworks. Click here for a list of vocabulary and ecological concepts incorporated into our tours.
We require one adult chaperone for every five children. $5 per child (minimum group fee $30 - effective 11/2010), no charge for chaperones.
FUNCTION SPACE RENTAL, SPECIAL PROGRAMS, LUNCHES, ACCOMMODATIONS
Please let us know the special needs of your group, and we will be happy to work with you to meet those needs. Ask us about local hotel sponsors providing very special overnight and group rates.
SHOPPING
Don't miss New England Wild Flower Society's Garden Shop with the area's largest selection of native plant species, eco-friendly garden tools and gifts, botanical prints and cards, new Society-branded clothing, and both reference and design books for sale. Freshly brewed compost tea to feed your garden will be available Saturdays and Sundays. Enjoy organic coffee and snacks.
