New England Wild Flower Society is determined to convince everyone that native plants are the right choice for their gardens. Not only are they more sustainable that other species, they offer a great variety of colors, textures, and sizes to fit every garden or container.

Supplies for the Gardener

The Garden Shop@ Garden in the Woods has everything you need to garden ecologically from the best native plants to the tools you need to plant them.  The Garden Shop is your one stop eco-friendly garden supply store.   As our t-shirts say “compost happens”, but we make it happen better!  We have composters to make your own or bagged compost ready to go. You can take home some of our own fresh-brewed compost tea! 

Books

The Society offers a large selection of books on gardening and nature for both adults and children. We have even published our own titles, working with William Cullina and Arthur Haines. Flora Novae Angliae, covering all 3,500 naturalized species of New England was published in November 2011. With over 1,000 pages and 950 illustrations, it is the definitive resource for New England's plants.

Logo Merchandise

New England Wild Flower Society is very proud of its heritage and name. We hope you will be too as you tell everyone you meet about the Society when you wear one of our logo tees, carry our umbrella, wear one of our hats, or drink from one of our coffee mugs. The fun, limited edition tees for kids make fabulous presents for all occasions.

Snacks and Coffee

Going WILD at the Garden Shop sure can work up an appetite. But, don’t fret. We have snacks, sweets, and munchies for your enjoyment. When you think you are too tired to do any more shopping, grab a fresh-brewed cup of organic fair trade coffee from Red Barn Coffee Roasters. 

Sipping a cup of coffee, seated on one of our rustic benches, and looking out over the Garden is the perfect way to end a perfect day at Garden in the Woods.
