Intermediate Wetland Delineation

This is an intermediate level, hands-on workshop for those who have already been introduced to wetland delineation concepts and methods . Featuring lectures and fieldwork, you will learn current regulatory standards and experience completing a wetland delineation in the field. The morning lectures will review field indicators for vegetation, soils, and hydrology, atypical situations, problem area wetlands and manual requirements by State and Army Corps methods.  The afternoon fieldwork will take place at a nearby wetland system that features challenging soil and hydrological characteristics.  Routine delineations will take place along a number of transects.  Following field work, a review of completed data sheets and transect characteristics, along with a question and discussion session will take place.  Bring a field notebook, bag lunch, and clothes for fieldwork.
