Southern New Hampshire Asteraceae
The fall equinox is a great time to observe and identify observe asters, goldenrods, and other fall blooming members of the Aster Family. At this site owned by the Manchester Waterworks, we will see a concentrated display of species along local trails, including an old railway bed. We’ll then travel a short distance by car to Tower Hill Pond. After a break for lunch, we’ll explore the rich woods for more members of the Aster family, and some bonus plants including several species of Desmodium.
