On this foray to a biodiversity hotspot in the Blue Hills Reservation, we should see about 20 ferns, as well as four club-mosses and a horsetail. Included in our search are silvery glade fern, both species of beech fern, Christmas fern, a grape fern or two, and five wood ferns. Long pants (for poison ivy) and a hand lens are recommended.
